NORTHSTARS TAKE THE CROWN
The Roblin Northstars are the 2007/08 NCHL Champions.
The Northstars downed the Foxwarren Falcons 5-4 in Game 3 of their NCHL final series on Wednesday, March 26 to complete the sweep in the best of five affair.
After a second place finish in the regular season, the Northstars got to the NCHL finals with playoff series wins over both the Miniota-Elkhorn 56ers and the Grandview Comets in four games.

NCHL ANNUAL SPRING MEETING
The 2008 North Central Hockey League Spring Meeting will be held on Sunday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m., Hamiota Sportsplex. All 2007-08 teams and any new prospective teams MUST be represented.
March 18
NCHL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
The North Central Hockey League Championship Series is set and it will be a battle between the league's top two teams from the regular season.
After scoring a 4-2 win over the Reston Rockets in the deciding fifth game of their Semi-final Series, the NCHL Pennant winning Foxwarren Falcons now move on to face the Roblin Northstars, who defeated the Grandview Comets in their Semi-final matchup 3-1.

The North Central Hockey League has named its award winners for the 2007/08 season.
Top Goaltenders: Andy Puchailo & Danny McDonald - Grandview Comets

Most Gentlemanly Player: Derek Elliott - Reston Rockets

SEMI-FINAL SHOWDOWNS SET
Dates for the NCHL semi-final series have now been set. The Roblin vs. Grandview series will begin on Friday, March 7 in Roblin, while Reston will travel to Foxwarren to kick off their series on Monday, March 10. For the full list of dates see the Playoff Schedule.

NCHL NAMES 2007/08 ALL STARS
The North Central Hockey League has named its 2007/08 All Star teams and the Roblin Northstars dominated the first all-star team selections.
With no game played this year, the league conducted voting among the 10 member clubs to arrive at a first and second team.
Rick Scott, Taras Turko and Riley Lang, all of Roblin, were the forwards selected to the first team. They were joined by defenceman Jerron Kyle of the Grandview Comets and Andy Chipelski of the Foxwarren Falcons. Mike Nichol of the Oak Lake Icemen was voted as the goaltender.
Foxwarren forwards Danny Johnston, Derek and Trent Tibbatts were the second team selections. The two defencemen selected were Kaine Morran of Grandview and Jason Roblin of the Reston Rockets. Grandview netminder Danny McDonald got the nod for the second team.
Dean Murray of Grandview was named the first team coach, while Ken Tibbatts of Foxwarren was named manager. Reston coach Ross Tycoles was named to the second team, while Cliff Kyle of the Miniota-Elkhorn 56ers was the manager.

The Roblin Northstars have rescheduled two of their upcoming home games.
Game #84 Grandview at Roblin originally scheduled for Jan. 8 has been moved to Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 8:30 pm. Also, game #56 Foxwarren at Roblin originally scheduled for Dec. 18 has been moved to Thursday, Dec. 20 at 8:30 pm.

The Top Scorers and Top Goaltenders pages will let you know who is leading the league, and will be updated every Tuesday/Wednesday. The Suspensions page will be updated as needed, and also be sure to read the Game Summaries each week for a recap of all NCHL action (updated Thursdays/Fridays).

Game #14 scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 18 between Roblin and Oak Lake has been postponed due to poor ice conditions. No make up date has been set.

Summaries of the past week's games are now posted in the Statistics section.
Game summaries will be posted once a week (Thursdays or Fridays) to allow teams and fans a chance to view recaps of the past week's action. Summaries are courtesy of Crossroads This Week in Shoal Lake.
Also, all team rosters for the 2007/08 season are now online.
October 30
The North Central Hockey League website is now updated for the 2007/08 season with up to date Schedules, contacts, etc. The site will be updated with Rosters and Statistics as the information becomes available.
This season, teams will play each other three times for a 27-game schedule.
The Grandview Comets, Reston Rockets and Shoal Lake Eagles have been accepted into the league for the start of the 2007/08 season, while the McCreary Mustangs and Birtle Bruins will not ice teams this winter.
