The Reston Rockets moved into first place in the North Central Hockey League with a 7-4 win over the Shoal Lake Eagles in Reston on Wednesday, Dec. 2.
Derrus Gray scored three goals, including the game winner early in the third period, to lead the Rockets' attack. Kent Schiltroth, Mike Volk, Kurtis Callander and Derek Elliott chipped in with singles.
Joel Yanick had a pair of goals for the Eagles, who rallied from a 4-0 first period deficit to tie the score at 4-4 after 40 minutes. Single markers came off the sticks of Bryce Cowling and Carey Findlay.

Kenton 5 Minnedosa 1
Scott Peters scored two goals to lead the Cougars to a 5-1 win over the Bombers in Hamiota on Wednesday, Dec. 2.
Brad Roth, Joel Strachan and Shaune Draper added singles for the hosts, who picked up their first win of the season.
Tyler Jury replied for the Bombers, who trailed 1-0 and 2-1 at the intermissions.

Foxwarren 8 Roblin 6
The Falcons moved into sole possession of fifth place with an 8-6 win over the Northstars in Foxwarren on Wednesday, Dec. 2.
The two teams were tied for fifth heading into the game. The Falcons still have three games in hand on the Northstars.

Grandview 6 Oak Lake 5 (SO)
Luke Stokotelny's shootout goal was the game winner as the Comets edged the Icemen 6-5 in Oak Lake on Saturday, Nov. 28.
Grandview took a 1-0 first period lead, but the teams were tied 2-2 after 40 minutes. The hosts held a 5-4 lead until Steegan Stoski scored with just two seconds left in the third to force overtime, and then the shootout.
Brett Ewanyshyn scored twice for the Comets, with Derrick Pulock and Stokotelny adding the others.
Riley Day had a pair for the Icemen, who got singles from Dustin Hildebrand, Ryan Halliday and Adam Hetherington.

Miniota-Elkhorn 6 Roblin 2
Four unanswered third period goals carried the C-Hawks to a 6-2 win over the Northstars in Roblin on Saturday, Nov. 28.
Kelsey McLeod had a pair of goals for the C-Hawks, while singles came off the sticks of Mike Huberdeau, Gabriel Huberdeau, Yanick Yuberdeau and Curtis Gardham.
Jared Ruf and Jeff Latimer tallied for the Northstars, who trailed 2-1 after the first period. The teams were tied at 2-2 after the second.

Neil Harris faced just 13 shots in recording the shutout as the Rockets blanked the Cougars 5-0 in Reston on Saturday, Nov. 28.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the ice his counterpart, Brett Fordyce of the Cougars, had a total of 63 shots.
Sheldon Guthrie with a pair, Jaydyn Murray, Tyson Roblin and Kent Schiltroth scored for the hosts, who led 1-0 and 2-0 at the intermissions.

Grandview 15 Minnedosa 4
Luke Stokoteny and Dave Elder each had a hat trick as the Comets humbled the Bombers 15-4 in Minnedosa on Thursday, Nov. 26.
Brent Crowe, Kaine Morran and Chris Porter added two goals each for Grandview, while Jerron Kyle, Steegan Stoski and Ryan Balak notched singles.
Rob Mousseau, Donnie St. Marie, Devon Foord and Tyler Jury scored for the Bombers, who trailed 4-0 and 12-2 at the intermissions.
