Shoal Lake 9 Minnedosa 3
The Shoal Lake Eagles had goals from seven different players as they cruised to a 9-3 win over the visiting Minnedosa Bombers in North Central Hockey League action in Shoal Lake on Wednesday, Jan. 6.
Nathan Holovach and Graeme Hobbs each notched a pair of goals for the Eagles, who led 2-0 and 5-1 at the intermissions.
Single markers came off the sticks of Jay Thiesen, Carey Findlay, Jeff Neufeld, Bryce Cowling and Sean Wojnarski.
Wes Lewis scored twice while Devon Foord tallied once to reply for the Bombers, who were assessed one of six minor penalties on the night.
Mark Yanick made 31 saves to pick up the win between the pipes for Shoal Lake. Facing 57 shots in goal for Minnedosa was the combination of Trent Madill and Nathan Ewasiuk.

Reston 5  Oak Lake-Brandon 2
Kurtis Callander scored a pair of goals as the Rockets knocked off the Icemen 5-2 on Wednesday, Jan. 6 in Oak Lake.
With the win, the Rockets handed the Icemen their first regulation loss of the season.
Nolan Jago, Kent Schiltroth and Mike Volk also scored for Reston, who led 3-1 through two periods after a scoreless first.
Landin Desjardin and Ryan Halliday replied for Oak Lake-Brandon.
Reston took six of 19 minor penalties and the lone major in the game.

Grandview 9 Roblin 1
Tied at 1-1 through the first period, the Comets exploded for eight unanswered goals as they rolled over the Northstars 9-1 on Wednesday, Jan. 6 in Grandview.
Four different players each scored twice for Grandview: Luke Stokotelny, Steegan Stoski, Jerron Kyle and Brett Ewanyshyn.
Kaine Morran notched the other goal for the Comets, who led 6-1 through two periods.
Devron Jakeman added the lone tally for the Northstars, who took six of 18 minor penalties on the night which also featured a pair of third period fights.
Danny McDonald backstopped Grandview to the victory as they reclaimed top spot in the NCHL with the win.

Miniota-Elkhorn 10  Foxwarren 3
The C-Hawks got goals from eight different players as they hammered the Falcons 10-3 in Miniota on Tuesday, Jan. 5.
Nat Howard and Duncan Lelond were the only players to pot multiple goals for the C-Hawks, who led 5-0 and 7-1 at the intermissions.
Single markers came off the sticks of Curtis Gardham, Jordan Mitchell, Gab Huberdeau, Tyler Mitchell, Kelsey McLeod and Mike Huberdeau.
David Barteaux, Danny Johnston and Jay Derkach replied for the Falcons.

Kenton 9 Roblin 6
Trailing 5-3 through two periods, the Cougars scored six third period goals en route to a 9-6 win over the visiting Northstars on Sunday, Jan. 3.
Jodi Anderson and Brad Roth each notched a pair of goals for the hosts, with Darren Whelpton, Joel Strachan, Ryan Carter, Shaune Draper and Andrew Johnson tallying singles.
Clayton Kohlman had a hat trick for Roblin, who were assessed seven of 11 minor penalties on the night.
Jarrett Newton with a pair and Billy Harrison also scored for the Northstars.

Miniota-Elkhorn 13  Virden 0
The C-Hawks flexed their offensive muscles with a 13-0 domination of the Oil Kings in Elkhorn on Sunday, Jan. 3.
Jordan Mitchell led the way with a hat trick for the C-Hawks, with Curtis Gardham, Sean McKean and Jason Corbett each firing a pair.
Single markers came off the sticks of Nat Howard, Yanick Huberdeau, Kelsey McLeod and Duncan Lelond.

Miniota-Elkhorn 6  Kenton 3
Curtis Gardham had a hat trick to lead the C-Hawks to a 6-3 win over the hometown Cougars on Wednesday, Dec. 30.
Kelsey McLeod, Jordan Mitchell and Gab Huberdeau added singles for the C-Hawks, who led 3-1 and 5-1 at the intermissions.
Ryan Carter, Brady Dinwoodie and Shaune Draper replied for Kenton.
Each team took two minor penalties in the game.

Roblin 3  Shoal Lake 2 (F/SO)
Jarrett Newton scored the lone shootout goal as the Northstars edged the Eagles 3-2 in Roblin on Tuesday, Dec. 29.
Roblin carried a 1-0 lead into the third period after a goal by Newton in the opening frame.
The teams then alternated goals in the final period on tallies by Bryce Cowling for the Eagles, Shawn Yakimishyn for the Northstars and Robby Memryk for Shoal Lake tying the game with 41 seconds left.
The teams split 10 minor penalties on the night.

Kenton 5 Virden 4
Ryan Carter scored his second goal of the game late in the third period as the Cougars edged the Oil Kings 5-4 in Kenton on Tuesday, Dec. 29.
Jody Anderson with two goals and Brad Roth also scored for Kenton.
Chad Harvey, Clint Russell, Warren Hunter and Brodie Plaisier replied for Virden.

Grandview 7 Minnedosa 3
Brett Ewanyshen notched a hat trick as the Comets dumped the Bombers 7-3 in Grandview on Tuesday, Dec. 29.
Luke Stokotelny had a pair of goals for the hosts, who led 3-0 and 5-2 at the intermissions.
Steegan Stoski and Mike Pitman added singles for the Comets, while Matt Saler with a pair and Devon Foord replied for Minnedosa.

Foxwarren 4 Shoal Lake 3
Danny Johnston recorded a hat trick as the Falcons slipped past the Eagles 4-3 in a game played in Angusville on Wednesday, Dec. 23.
Derrick Jensen had the other goal for the Falcons, who led 2-1 and 4-3 at the intermissions.
Robby Memryk, Jeff Neufeld and Carey Findlay replied for the Eagles.

Reston 9 Virden 3
Nolan Jago scored three times and Rick Stephenson added a pair as the Rockets tripled the Oil Kings 9-3 in Reston on Wednesday, Dec. 23.
Andrew Lochhead, Landon Brockman, JayDyn Murray and Rory Tycoles added singles for the hosts, who led 3-0 and 7-2 by periods.
Tyler Finch scored twice for the Oil Kings with Clint Russell notching a single.

Miniota-Elkhorn 7  Minnedosa 2
Kelsey McLeod scored three goals to lead the C-Hawks to a 7-2 win over the Rockets in Miniota on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
Nat Howard added a pair of goals for the hosts, who led 2-1 and 6-1 at the intermissions. Jordan Mitchell and Tyler Mitchell chipped in with singles.
Scott Thompson and Devon Foord were the Minnedosa marksmen.

Reston 7 Roblin 3
Nolan Jago scored three times to lead the Rockets to a 7-3 win over the Northstars in Reston on Sunday, Dec. 20.
Buddy Mayert added a pair of goals for the hosts, who led 3-1 and 4-2 at the intermissions. Single markers came off the sticks of Landon Brockman and Kent Schiltroth.
Devron Jakeman with a pair, and Ryan Bram replied for the Northstars.

Shoal Lake 6 Minnedosa 4
The Eagles held 2-1 and 5-2 period leads enroute to a 6-4 win over the Bombers in Minnedosa on Sunday, Dec. 20.
Bryce Cowling and Nathan Holovach each scored twice for the Eagles, while Joel Yanick and Donovan Chief chipped in with singles.
Brent Madill had a hat trick for the hosts, with Wes Lewis adding a single.

Oak Lake-Brandon 8 Virden 4
Ryan Halliday fired three goals as the Icemen doubled the Oil Kings in Oak Lake on Sunday, Dec. 20.
Matt Rey, Riley Day, Landon Desjardins, Jordan Zenk and Justin Watters also scored for the Icemen, who led 5-2 after 40 minutes. The teams were tied 2-2 after the first period.
Colin Skoleski, Derek Hodgins, Tyler Finch and Chance Horn scored for Virden.

Grandview 1 Foxwarren 0
Steegan Stoski scored with 12 seconds left in the third period to give the Comets a 1-0 win over the Falcons in Foxwarren on Friday, Dec. 18.
Dan McDonald recorded the shutout for the Comets.

Tyler Mitchell's second period goal proved to be the game winner as the C-Hawks edged the Oil Kings 3-2 in Virden on Friday, Dec. 18.
Curtis Gardham had the other two goals for the C-Hawks, who led 3-2 after 40 minutes. The teams were tied 1-1 after the first period.
Chad Gardiner and Colin Skoleski tallied for the Oil Kings.

Shoal Lake 8 Kenton 4
The Eagles received goals from eight different players as they doubled the Cougars 8-4 in Shoal Lake on Friday, Dec. 18.
Nathan Holovach, Carey Findlay, Joel Ostash, Ryan Knight, Robby Memryk, Cody Cornwall, Donovan Chief and Jay Thiessen all scored for the Eagles, who led 5-1 and 7-2 at the intermissions.
Brad Roth and Ryan Carter scored for the Cougars, who played with just 10 skaters.
