Shoal Lake 4 Roblin 2 The Shoal Lake Eagles rallied from a 2-1 third period deficit to defeat the Roblin Northstars 4-2 in a North Central Hockey League contest in Shoal Lake on Wednesday, Nov. 11. After a scoreless first period, the Eagles got on the scoreboard at 7:56 of the second on a goal by Joel Yanick. The Northstars started the third period strong, with Rick Scott tying the game on a breakaway, and Ryan Bram scoring the go-ahead goal five minutes later. The Eagles didn't give up though, and Jeff Neufeld tied the game midway through the frame. Yanick scored his second of the evening and eventual game winner on the powerplay with just under four minutes to play. Carey Findlay iced the game, scoring into an empty net with one second left on the clock. Roblin 8 Minnedosa 5 Devron Jakeman and Jared Ruf each scored twice as the Northstars outscored the Bombers 8-5 in Minnedosa on Sunday, Nov. 8. Cody Hart, Jarrett Newton, Brian Buick and Langdon Campbell added singles for the visitors, who held 3-1 and 6-4 period leads. Wes Lewis scored four times for Minnedosa, while Glen Vanmeisl added a single. Oak Lake-Brandon 6 Grandview 5 Dustin Hildebrand's goal with less than five minutes left in the third period snapped a 5-5 tie and gave the Icemen a 6-5 win over the Lakers in Grandview on Saturday, Nov. 7. Trevor Derlago, Adam Hetherington, Grant Bastone, Landon Desjardins and Ryan Halliday also scored for the Icemen. Reston 4 Miniota-Elkhorn 3 (SO) The Rockets used a goal late in the third period to tie the score and then outscored the C-Hawks in the shootout to earn a 4-3 win in Reston on Saturday, Nov. 7. Jaydyn Murray, Buddy Mayert and Kent Schiltroth scored for the Rockets, who led 1-0 and 2-1 at the intermissions. Replying for the C-Hawks were Luke Lelond, Duncan Lelond and Jody Magotiaux. Foxwarren 3 Shoal Lake 2 (OT) Trent Tibbatts scored his second goal of the game 36 seconds into overtime to give the Falcons a 3-2 win over the Eagles on Friday, Nov. 6 in Shoal Lake. Devon Bell-Evans also scored for the visitors, who trailed 2-1 after the first period. The teams were tied 2-2 after 40 minutes. Nathan Holovach and Robby Memryk replied for the Eagles.
