NCHL POLL
Crossroads This Week conducted an independent poll of the 10 NCHL teams asking for their input on a variety of questions related to the league and its players. Questions ranged from Best Goaltender, Best Hitter, Most Irritating Player, to Best Uniforms. The results of the 17-question survey were published in the Friday, March 19 edition available by clicking here.

GAME CANCELLATION
Game 2 of the Grandview vs. Shoal Lake series scheduled for tonight in Shoal Lake has been cancelled. A revised schedule for the series has been posted and can be accessed by following the link above.
Februrary 25
GAME LOCATION CHANGE
Game 5 of the Shoal Lake vs. Miniota-Elkhorn series on Friday, Feb. 26 will now be played in Elkhorn, not Miniota as originally scheduled. Game time is set for 8:30 pm.
February 18
NCHL AWARD WINNERS
The North Central Hockey League has named its year end award winners for the 2009-10 season.
Danny Johnston of the Foxwarren Falcons has been voted as the league's most valuable player and will be presented with the Doug Harrison Memorial Award.
Miniota-Elkhorn C-Hawks forward Tyler Mitchell has captured the Darryl Brown Memorial Trophy as the most gentlemanly player.
The voting was done by league teams, with no team allowed to vote for its own nominee.
Curtis Gardham of the C-Hawks won the league scoring race with 54 points, while the goaltending duo of Danny McDonald and Andy Puchailo of the regular season pennant winning Grandview Comets were named the top goaltenders with a combined 2.09 goals against average.

PLAYOFFS SET
The North Central Hockey League regular season is now complete and the first round playoffs matchups have been determined. The playoff schedule can be accessed through the link above or in the Schedule/Results section. Schedules will be posted as dates become available.
Teams MUST forward playoff schedules to the statistician and referee-in-chief as soon as dates are set.

January 28
GAME TIME CHANGE
The NCHL game #104 on Sunday, Jan. 31 between the Roblin Northstars and the Miniota-Elkhorn C-Hawks in Miniota will now be played at 5:00 pm, not at 7:30 pm as originally scheduled.
January 26
RESCHEDULED GAME
The NCHL game #92 that was postponed on Jan. 23 between the Grandview Comets and the Virden Oil Kings has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 8:30 pm in Virden.

NCHL CONSTITUTION
An updated version of the NCHL Constitution is now available in the History section.
January 18
GAME LOCATION CHANGE
The NCHL game #85 on Tuesday, Jan. 19 between the Reston Rockets and Kenton Cougars will now be played in Hamiota, not in Kenton as originally scheduled. Game time will remain 8:30 pm.

GAME LOCATION CHANGE
The NCHL game #80 on Friday, Jan. 15 between Oak Lake/Brandon and Kenton will now be played in Hamiota, not in Kenton as originally scheduled. Game time will remain 8:30 pm.

GAME LOCATION CHANGE
The NCHL game #79 on Friday, Jan. 15 between Minnedosa and Shoal Lake will now be played in Shoal Lake, not in Strathclair as originally scheduled. Game time will remain 8:30 pm.
November 17
The North Central Hockey League scoring leaders, goaltending leaders and team scoring statistics are now available in the Statistics section.
November 5
All teams are asked to fax in a copy of their rosters to 759-2521 asap. The rosters will be put online to allow teams to make game lineups.

NCHL Printed Schedule Corrections
Jim Gibbens is the General Manager of Virden Mainline Motors Products Ltd., not Chris Irvine, as indicated on the 2009-10 North Central Hockey League printed schedule. The management of the Virden Oil Kings wish to apologize to Mr. Gibbens for their error, and indicate their appreciation for the continued sponsorship of the full line General Motors dealer, that has locations in Virden and Birtle.
Please note an error on the printed version of the NCHL Schedule: Games #37 & #38 are being played on Tuesday, Dec. 8. The schedule incorrectly reads Monday, Dec. 8.

The North Central Hockey League website is now updated for the 2009/10 season with up to date Schedules, contacts, etc. The site will be updated with Rosters and Statistics as the information becomes available.

10 teams set to hit the ice
The Foxwarren Falcons will re-join the North Central Hockey League this year, as 10 teams will hit the ice this season.
The Birtle Bruins received a one-year leave of absence from the league.
Teams will play a 22 game schedule this season which will kick off on Friday, Nov. 6.
