ICEMEN SANCIONED BY LEAGUE

The North Central Hockey League has ruled that the Oak Lake Icemen have contravened the commuter rule contained in the league constitution.

Three players - Brett Boschman, Travis Mealy and Kenny Mott - were suspended for one game (served on Wednesday, Dec. 10) for violating the league's residency requirement.

As well the team loses all points (14) accumulated from Nov. 8 to Dec. 6. The points will not be awarded to the other teams.

League standings have been adjusted. However, scoring and goaltending statistics accumulated by the Icemen in the first seven games of the season will remain in the system for the time being.
